Angela Parkinson BSc (hons) MCSP MHCPC, Founder of Fit Mums and Tums Physiotherapy and Senior Women’s Health Physiotherapist at Nuffield Health Glasgow Hospital.
Angela is a chartered Physiotherapist and mum to four, two girls and two boys – 6 yrs old, 5 yrs, 4 years old and a 14 month old baby. She has been through pre and post natal life and has experienced first hand many of the highs and lows of pregnancy and recovery. She is passionate about educating and informing mums and mums to be about how to exercise safely during and after pregnancy and also how to treat various pregnancy and post natal issues. She has a particular interest in the treatment of diastasis of recti (abdominal muscle separation). Angela studied in Glasgow and has worked in a variety of settings and since having her own children and seeing the affects of childbearing on friends and family wants to guide woman through such a changing time of life. Angela has worked in a wide range of settings including NHS, charity and private settings and has a wealth of experience. She heads up Fit Mums and Tums Physiotherapy as well as working part-time for the Nuffield Health in Glasgow.
She has been married to Gordon for over ten years and believes that we have been created and have a God given muscular corset which sometimes needs a helping hand to be re-connected. There is also a host of safe exercises that can be done during and after pregnancy and enjoys taking classes for mums and mums to be.
